What you will do: The Medical Assistant is responsible to perform the duties of the position in support of the nurses and physicians in providing quality medical care. Responsibilities include escorting patients to exam rooms, taking vital signs, documenting health information, responding to patient concerns, completing referrals, following protocol for specimen collection, participating in meetings, completing patient forms, using universal precautions, handling medical waste, providing educational materials, and performing front-end functions to achieve revenue cycle metrics.

What you will need: Preferred qualifications include a graduate of a Medical Assistant Training Program and national medical assistant certification. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalency, at least 10 months' work and/or clinical training experience in the healthcare field, proficiency in obtaining manual vital signs, experience using an electronic health record system, commitment to confidentiality, ability to obtain and record patient data, knowledge of basic anatomy and medical terminology, experience assisting healthcare providers, and ability to provide patients with information related to their health and wellness.

Pay Range: $19.00 - $25.09 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
