Academic Support Specialist (Fall 2026)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Academic Support Specialist who will provide targeted literacy support for students across grade levels. The ideal candidate will have reading certification, training in Orton-Gillingham or a similar structured literacy approach, and a strong understanding of differentiated instruction and intervention strategies (or willingness to be trained). This is a Sept-May position. Pay is $25-$33 an hour depending on experience. Provide direct reading instruction to individual students and small groups, focusing on early literacy, decoding, fluency, comprehension, and written expression. Coordinate with classroom teachers to ensure targeted, effective intervention. Coordinate with the district for alignment on Special Education services.
