Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Services

Registered Nurse (RN) – EDSchedule: Mid Shift, with rotating weekends Registered Nurse (RN) at Wythe County Community Hospital (WCCH) will provide direct patient care in the 14‑bed Emergency Department, supporting an ER nurse–patient ratio of 1:4. Responsibilities Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs. Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions. Provide care appropriate to patient condition and age. Perform timely and accurate documentation of medical necessity. Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient. Conduct timely and accurate QI assessments. Qualifications Current VA or compact RN license. At least one year of prior ER experience (strongly preferred). Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire. ACLS and PALS certification within 90 days of hire. Handle with Care certification within one year of hire.
