Registered Nurse (RN) - ED Mid Shift, with rotating weekends. More About Our Team Wythe County Community Hospital Emergency Department is a 14‑bed ER with a Fast Track area for up to 8 patients. The nurse patient ratio is 1:4. The department values open communication, teamwork, and a work‑life balance for its staff. How You'll Contribute Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs. Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions. Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient. Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record. Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient. Performs timely and accurate QI assessments. Additional requirements include: At least one year of previous ER experience as an RN strongly preferred. Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire. ACLS and PALS certifications required within 90 days of hire. Handle With Care certification required within one year of hire.
