Advanced Practice - Critical Care Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Job Title: Critical Care Medicine Nurse Practitioner Location: Boston, Massachusetts Schedule: 7:00PM - 7:00AM x 3 Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension Pay Rate : $110 - $115/hr Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Critical Care Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Boston, Massachusetts. These positions are 26-week contracts with the ability to extend. Responsibilities for a Critical Care Medicine Nurse Practitioner: Work in an ICU setting within a teaching hospital environment serving adult patients Serve as a responding clinician (no billing performed for APPs) Round with attending physician in the morning, complete tasks, and round again in the afternoon Work under supervision of MD during day shifts and fellow/attending during night shifts Cover shifts from 6a-7p and 6p-7a, including weekends (Friday nights count as weekends) Manage an average daily census of 7 patients within a 10-bed unit Perform bread and butter ICU and Med Surg procedures; may encounter 1-2 burn patients No intubations, line placements, ventilator management, transplants, ECHO, heads, EVD, or complex neuro stroke cases Utilize Epic for charting and documentation Maintain board certification in Acute Care with ICU experience Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications Maintain active DEA registration Have a minimum of 2+ years of critical care experience Complete the first 8 hours of orientation (non-billable) Self-report time spent on non-billable activities Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and compliance documentation requirements Benefits for a Critical Care Medicine Nurse Practitioner: Weekly pay every Friday Comprehensive Professional Malpractice Insurance 24/7 Recruitment Support Full-service Credentialing and Corporate Travel Team Referral Bonus up to $1,500 Astrya Global Medical Staffing offers 10+ years of staffing experience, 100% domestic support, and is certified by both the Joint Commission and National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations.
