Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required | Holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a primarily Medical Surgical population, including observation patients, respiratory conditions, general medical surgical diagnoses, surgical patients, and surgical observation
• Care for Palliative, End of Life, Hospice, and Psychiatric Observation patients as appropriate
• Manage patients with Diabetes, including newly diagnosed patients and those with diabetes-related complications
• Document and manage patient records using EPIC EMR
• Pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed); unit is telemetry capable and EKG competency is required of all RNs
• Float to other system campuses as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• Third-party education verification required; degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list will not be accepted
• No open background cases permitted
• Current driver's license required to verify address
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience as a Charge RN preferred
