Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role: Degree in Railway Engineering, Mechanical, Electronics, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Experience or understanding of obsolescence management and design life cycle within the automated people mover or rail industry (or similar industries such as transportation vehicles, high‑ and low‑voltage equipment, and discrete electronic components). Familiarity with Obsolescence Management tools, IPC, Maintenance Manuals, and the full lifecycle of design, development, and aftermarket considerations. Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in mechanical and electrical‑electronic design tools, MS Office, PDM, SAP, GSI, and Maximo (or other ERP tools). Ability to work independently and adapt to fast‑paced environments with a high degree of autonomy. Project management experience, including bid and proposal contributions. Resourcefulness and resilience in seeking information and solutions across multiple communication platforms. Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life‑long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also: Work with cross‑functional teams, including Rolling Stock Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, and external vendors, to ensure compliance with customer requirements and deliver innovative obsolescence solutions.
