About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVPICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Strong Pediatric ICU experience and at least 1 year of CV experience required. License: RN license required. Certifications: AHA BLS and PALS required. Must-Have: 1. EPIC experience required. 2. Strong Pediatric ICU experience and at least 1 year of CV experience required. 3. Traveler will be required to pass a Telemetry test prior to starting. Description: This position involves working day shifts with a combination of weekends and holidays. Nurses will join a multidisciplinary team to provide family-centered care to critically ill or injured children and their families. Candidates must have experience caring for patients with a variety of medical and surgical issues. Key conditions treated include acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, and organ transplantation. Experience in a high acuity hospital setting is essential. Candidates will be required to float as necessary to other areas of care. The unit serves a diverse patient population including neonates, infants, and adolescents. Daily census includes a manageable number of patients with a range of diagnoses. Special procedures may involve equipment such as CRRT, VAD, and ECMO. Nurses will need to demonstrate competence in telemetry with specific passing criteria.
