Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Function as the Financial Planning and Analysis lead for the New York Medicaid Health Plan Support the CFO in achieving financial and strategic goals Manage and drive business actions and financial goals across the Plan Oversee development, analysis, and reporting of financial forecasts, budgets, and key performance metrics Align financial strategies with state Medicaid requirements and corporate goals Provide actionable insights to executive leadership and cross-functional teams Oversee comprehensive financial reports aligned with strategic goals Identify financial variances and trends to inform strategic decisions Lead budgeting for the business unit or region Liaise between senior leadership and cross-functional teams Lead strategic financial planning and cost optimization initiatives Guide executive leadership on financial strategy, resource allocation, and long‑term goals Lead cross‑functional teams to drive departmental alignment Drive process improvements, innovation, and best practices in financial operations Interact with executive leaders, operational managers, and state Medicaid stakeholders Requirements 7+ years of financial experience, including strategic and business planning, financial planning, analysis, P&L, reporting, or accounting 5+ years of experience in healthcare or insurance Health Plan Finance experience preferred Experience in P&L management and leadership with budgets and forecasts preferred Experience developing budgets and identifying risks and opportunities preferred P&L ownership and key financial metrics experience preferred Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, or commercial health insurance products and financial drivers preferred Advanced degree in Business and/or FSA/CPA preferred Degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or similar disciplines required, or equivalent years of experience Experience in financial analysis, trends, projections, and analytics preferred Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in Financial Planning and Analysis, with a strong focus on Medicaid requirements and strategic financial management.
