CAD Tech

Summary The CAD Technician will use computer-aided design softwareto make technical drawings. CAD Technician will use computer-aided designprograms to create an image, which may be displayed in three-dimensionalspace. We're looking for a CAD Technician who is highly skilled and hasexperience with a variety of CAD software programs. The ideal candidatewill be able to take on projects of all sizes and difficulty levels and will be able to work independently or as a part of a team. Job Responsibilities Create ormodify drawings. Maintainand update repetitive drawings. Editand revise new drawings based on WMI requirements. Creating job sets and nests for the production team. Workclosely with other technicians, architects, and designers to develop andrevise 3D models ofstructures and features. Reviewdesign files of completed projects against client specifications and workorders to make necessary revisions. Monitorproduction progress to determine the efficiency of 3D rendering anddocumentation. Assistin training and educating design and modeling staff on new technologiesand best practices. Performday-to-day duties involved in generating and maintaining 3D CADmodels. CheckCAD drawn prints when no DXF/DWG is provided (verify it is correct) Requirements Readand understand blueprints computerskills bevery detailed in reading and producing prints (small detail focused) problemsolving skills outsidethe box thinking communicationskills (sales/shop/customers) showinitiative workwell with others qualityfocused knowledgeof metal fabricating industry Qualifications Bachelor'sDegree in Architecture, Construction Management, or related field of workhistory equivalent. 2+years proven experience designing and drafting in AutoCAD. Abilityto read and interpret construction drawings and maps; prepare accuratedetailed drawings from data supplied by customers Knowledgeof tube lasers and robotics.
