About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to serve as a key leader in the provision of quality and cost-effective care. The CMO will be responsible for creating and maintaining superior relationships with physicians, securing their input in major decisions, and setting universal standards for patient care. This role involves direct support of the formal medical staff function, participation in the development and implementation of service line and patient care competency, and leading continuous quality improvement processes. The CMO will also be a resource for the medical staff, promoting programs and services, and will work closely with the Market President and Medical Staff President to ensure the alignment of clinical and business operations. Candidates for the CMO position at the company must be graduates of accredited medical schools, board-certified in their specialty, and have a minimum of 15 years of clinical practice with at least 5 years in an executive leadership role. A Master's degree in business or healthcare administration is preferred. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in leading and implementing quality improvement initiatives, strong communication and influencing skills, and the ability to work effectively in a complex matrix environment. The CMO will also be expected to have advanced interpersonal, management, and organizational skills, and a personal presence that embodies the values of honesty, integrity, and caring.
