Lab Operations Analyst I HYBRID: Chicago, IL (Tuesday to Saturday 12:00pm-8:30pm)

Position Overview Laboratory Operations Analyst at Tempus. This hybrid role entails a shift schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, 12:00pm–8:30pm, with 3 days onsite at the Chicago, IL office. Responsibilities Manage samples in the laboratory information management system (LIMS) and ensure quick and efficient specimen processing. Develop a firm understanding of internal lab processes and databases with respect to pharmaceutical and partner operations projects. Communicate directly with members of pharma/partner ops departments to provide clarity on specimen status, delays, and expected completion dates. Respond to inquiries by email, Slack, and in person quickly and professionally. Track and manage progress on pharma/partner ops laboratory projects. Participate in monitoring audits of sample status and prevention of delays. Monitor high‑priority orders to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. Qualifications 4‑year college degree in Biological Sciences or similar (preferred). Exceptional customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills. Highly organized, systematic with superb attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy. Show initiative and ability to work as part of a high‑level team while working independently. Proven ability to learn new skills quickly and adapt to new processes smoothly. Pay & Benefits Illinois Pay: $23.25/hour. The expected salary range above is applicable if the role is performed from Illinois and may vary for other locations (California, Colorado, NewYork). Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience.
