Job Summary:
The ICU Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Kearney, Nebraska. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in an intensive care unit that manages critically ill adult patients with diagnoses such as trauma, cardiac conditions, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress. Candidates must bring their license on the first day. The position requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 06:30 to 18:30 and 18:30 to 06:30, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid licensing to submit, current certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, and at least 2 years of nursing experience in a similar setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic charting using EPIC, proficiency in reading and interpreting telemetry strips, and the ability to manage cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation.
• Float: Float rotation may be required; typically to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and occasionally Medical Surgical units, maintaining patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5.
• Additional Information: Candidates will be expected to perform troubleshooting for various respiratory equipment, and participate in a minimum of one unit-specific orientation shift. Self-scheduling is available for core staff, with travelers added in. RTO requests must be made upfront for up to 7 days within the 13-week contract; no additional RTO will be approved. The minimum holiday requirement is two within the contract period.
• Department & Certifications: The role involves managing patients with complex conditions, requiring the ability to titrate cardiac, insulin, and sedation drips, and understanding of respiratory equipment such as vents, BiPAP, and CPAP.
• Experience: 2 years minimum required in an ICU or similar setting.
• Shift & Location Details: The position begins on 06/22/2026 at the facility located in Kearney, Nebraska.
