Piping engineer

job summary:
Join our Client as a Piping Engineer team to help shape the future of clean nuclear energy. Based out of our collaborative engineering hubs, this role focuses on analyzing nuclear safety-related piping and supports for the innovative BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor. You will interface across multi-disciplinary global design teams to ensure strict code, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering and possess at least four years of dedicated experience in pipe supports design and analysis. Success in this role requires a strong working knowledge of ASME Section III (subsection NF) or ASME B31.1, alongside proficiency in industry-standard piping analysis software. A professional engineering certification (PE/EIT) and familiarity with structural modeling tools are highly advantageous.

responsibilities:

• Analyze and define pipe supports to meet rigorous nuclear industry standards and regulatory compliance.

• Perform oversight activities, including the review, technical direction, and owners' acceptance of subcontracted designs.

• Prepare technical documentation, such as design basis documents and formal ASME design reports.

• Interface seamlessly as the primary technical link between external sub-contractors and internal engineering teams.

• Maintain and optimize technical design procedures, analysis software, and automated workflows.
