Retail Operations Coordinator

The Retail Operations Coordinator supports the operational success, inventory productivity, and consistent execution of Gibson Garage locations. Reporting through the DTC Planning & Operations organization, this role is responsible for developing and maintaining retail operating processes, supporting Garage channel forecasting, coordinating inventory execution activities, developing retail playbooks, and ensuring operational consistency across locations. Working closely with Store Leadership, Lifestyle Merchandising, Planning, Procurement, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams, this role helps translate business plans into effective retail execution that supports demand capture, inventory productivity, and an exceptional customer experience. As Gibson's retail footprint expands, this role will play a key role in maintaining the operational processes, forecasting capabilities, merchandising tools, and reporting frameworks required to support future growth.Key ResponsibilitiesRetail Operations•Develop, maintain, and continuously improve retail operating procedures across Garage locations.•Support consistent execution of established retail processes, operational standards, and store initiatives.•Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for process improvements.•Coordinate operational readiness activities for product launches, retail events, seasonal transitions, and new store openings.•Maintain operational reporting and scorecards that provide visibility into key retail performance metrics.•Partner with store teams to identify operational challenges and support implementation of practical solutions.Channel Forecasting & Inventory Planning•Maintain product-level forecasts for Garage retail locations in partnership with DTC Planning and Merchandising teams.•Monitor forecast performance and recommend adjustments based on sales trends, seasonality, and inventory performance.•Assist in translating seasonal assortment plans into store-level inventory requirements.•Support replenishment planning activities designed to maximize inventory availability and demand capture.•Analyze sales, inventory, and forecast data to identify potential risks and opportunities.•Support inventory planning activities that improve inventory productivity and customer experience.Store-Level Ordering & Inventory Management•Manage store-level ordering activities to support inventory availability and operational needs.Retail Operations Coordinator JD | Draft for Review•Monitor inventory levels and recommend reorder quantities based on forecast, sales performance, and inventory objectives.•Coordinate replenishment requests and inventory transfers as needed to support store inventory requirements.•Monitor inventory health, in-stock performance, and seasonal inventory productivity.•Assist with seasonal inventory transitions, markdown execution, inventory rebalancing, and product exit strategies.•Support inventory accuracy initiatives and process improvements across Garage locations.Retail Merchandising & Planogram Management•Develop and maintain planograms, merchandising guides, and retail presentation standards.•Coordinate execution of seasonal floor sets, merchandising updates, and product launch displays.•Monitor adherence to approved planograms and merchandising standards across Garage locations.•Identify opportunities to improve product presentation, customer navigation, and inventory placement.•Maintain merchandising documentation and support consistent execution across locations.•Partner with Merchandising and Store Leadership teams to support retail presentation initiatives.Retail Playbook Development•Develop, maintain, and update the Gibson Garage Retail Operations Playbook.•Document retail operating procedures, best practices, and process updates.•Maintain operational resources, templates, and supporting documentation.•Recommend enhancements that improve operational consistency and scalability.•Support training and onboarding efforts related to retail operations processes and standards.Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement•Analyze operational, inventory, and sales performance to identify improvement opportunities.•Support implementation of process improvements that enhance efficiency, consistency, and customer experience.•Assist with deployment of new tools, systems, and reporting capabilities.•Participate in projects that strengthen the Garage operating model and support business growth.•Promote a culture of accountability, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.QualificationsRequired•Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Retail Management, or related field.•3-5 years of experience in retail operations, inventory planning, merchandising, forecasting, supply chain, or related disciplines.•Experience managing inventory, replenishment, ordering, or operational processes in a retail environment.•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.•Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.•Strong organizational and project management skills.•Excellent communication and collaboration skills.•Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Preferred•Experience supporting multi-location retail operations.•Experience with retail forecasting, replenishment, allocation, or inventory management.•Experience developing planograms or merchandising standards.•Experience supporting retail store openings or expansion projects.•Experience developing operational documentation, SOPs, or playbooks.•Experience in specialty retail, premium consumer products, lifestyle, or experiential retail environments.
