SUPERVISORY CONTRACT SPECIALIST

Contracting Officer Duties
Serve as Contracting Officer with unlimited signatory authority to execute both pre award and post award contract actions.
As needed, serves as Contract Specialist to execute mission requirements as workload necessitates.
Participates in litigation when needed.
Provide technical direction over procurement and contracting activities in areas of preparation and issuance of sources sought announcements.
Participates as procurement team member in negotiations of contracts and performs procurement staff surveillance during all phases of the contracts.
Supervises and directs the maintenance and archiving of the official contract files.
Supervises, plans, and directs personnel management activities to include positions and pay, selection or participation in the selection of subordinate employees.
Interview candidates for subordinate positions; recommend hiring, promotion, or reassignments.
As an expert in the procurement and contract management field, advises primary customers and District office personnel in all phases of the acquisition process.
Serves as a Team member on various District Project Delivery Teams.
