Shuttle Driver

Job Overview USC Auxiliary Services Transportation division is seeking Shuttle Drivers to safely transport students, faculty, staff, and guests on campus. The role requires a friendly, customer‑focused demeanor and strict adherence to safety protocols. Accountabilities Transport passengers to and from various destinations on and around the university campus using vehicles with 23‑42 passenger capacity. Conduct daily pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle safety inspections. Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle and daily route schedule. Maintain knowledge of and compliance with all state and federal commercial driver rules and university policies. Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff and external customers, resolving issues and ensuring satisfaction. Notify appropriate personnel in the event of an emergency and record safety‑related incidents accurately. Promote an inclusive environment in line with the USC Code of Ethics. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent; combined experience/education may substitute. Minimum Experience: 2 years of bus driving (passenger transport) and customer service; combined experience may substitute. Valid California Class‑B driver’s license with passenger endorsement. Current clean driving record with no moving violations or DUI convictions in the last three years. Drug screening required prior to employment and random testing thereafter. Airbrake certification or ability to obtain within 90 days. LADOT permit or ability to obtain within 60 days. Strong commitment to USC’s Unifying Values and inclusive relationships. Preferred Associate’s degree. 3 years of related experience. Benefits Competitive hourly rate of $23.00 per hour.
