Retail Store Manager

Store Manager – Clifton‑Styertowne, NJ Store managers are expected to spend the vast majority of their time on managerial work. Responsibilities include leading and managing a team; holding the team accountable for delivering a great customer experience; ensuring compliance with SOPs and company policies; managing sales and profit plans; delivering customer brand promises; leading shrink and safety programs; using company tools to set, prioritize and communicate goals; and staffing the store with qualified team members. Lead and manage all aspects of the store, including adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements. Ensure execution of company policies and standards; hold the team accountable for store conditions and results. Deliver sales plan/profit plan and other KPIs in conjunction with annual performance objectives. Lead the execution of customer brand promises. Implement and lead shrink and safety programs to achieve goals. Use company tools to set, prioritize and communicate goals and provide overall management to team members and customers. Staff the store with qualified Team Members: hire, train, observe, coach, manage performance, conduct disciplinary processes if necessary, and identify talent for advancement. Maintain operational understanding of all store departments; cross‑train managers in custom framing selling and production. Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) when required. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 5+ years of retail experience, including specialized knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and customer service excellence. Minimum 2+ years of direct supervisory experience, including performance management and talent development. Ability to stand for long periods, move throughout the store, bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch; some lifting of heavy items and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
