Territory Sales Representative (90-day Training, Base Salary + Uncapped GP Bonus!)

At AIFI, Territory Sales Representatives act as consultative solution providers, delivering maximum value to our customers base across the food & beverage, pet food, and personal care industries.

All sales representatives start in the Lead Generator role and complete a structured 90-day, small-group training program designed to build the skills and strategic foundation needed for success. After a period of at least 90 days, individuals that successfully complete the training program will be promoted into a Territory Sales Representative, where they will continue to build their expertise, develop customer relationships in their territory, and gain additional training to master the full sales cycle.

PERFORMANCE PROFILE

Reporting to the Sales Training Manager, the Lead Generator role is the starting point for your sales career at AIFI. In this position, you will be given the initial training to develop the skills and confidence to engage prospects through cold outreach, identify opportunities, and generate qualified sales leads. Leads are provided to you during training and after!

In your first 30 days, you will immerse yourself into AIFI’s comprehensive training program, gaining vital knowledge in the sales process and methodology, product list, ERP system and operational advantages. During this time, you will begin confidently engaging prospective customers, uncovering needs, and communicating AIFI’s value.

Within 60 days you will demonstrate greater proficiency in generating qualified sales leads. As well, you will have become a fanatical prospector exhibiting the ability to place 300+ phone calls a week to leads and prospects.

Within 90 days you will be fully proficient in developing qualified sales leads, having a deep knowledge of the key areas/ ingredients of advantage, AIFI systems, and pricing. Upon successfully completing the training program, you will be promoted into a Territory Sales Representative who is ready to start building and fostering their own book of business!

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Professional Selling, Supply Chain, Marketing or a related field preferred
• Strong drive, self-motivation, and a high level of personal accountability & discipline
• Coachable with a willingness to learn, adapt, and apply feedback in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills, particularly over the phone and in professional settings
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Familiarity with CRM or ERP systems (through coursework, internships, or prior experience)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and stay consistent
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action
• Prior internship, customer service, or sales-related experience is a plus, but not required
• Willingness to travel to customers in assigned territory ( once per quarter - company covered travel expenses!)

OFFICE LOCATION

Our one-of-a-kind facility is located in Ada, Michigan on the banks of the Grand River. We sit right off Fulton Street East in a beautifully restored barn, with a silo addition in 2020 for additional office space. Our unique facility strips away the “institutional” feel to provide a comfortable and distinctive office environment.
