Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant Dallas, TX Compensation: $90-110k + bonus Vaco has partnered with one of our investment management & advisory clients looking to onboard a staff accountant due to the growth of the department. This person will be responsible for the full cycle accounting for both the parent company as well as their associated funds. Company offers unlimited PTO, 100% paid benefits (health, dental, vision), and a gym onsite. Day-to-day Record daily financial transactions, including journal entries and expense accruals, and perform cash reconciliations across corporate entities, subsidiaries, and investment funds Assist with month-end and quarter-end close processes for the parent company, subsidiaries, and funds, ensuring accurate allocations and timely financial statements Prepare quarterly investor reporting and support the preparation and review of investor capital accounts Establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with control standards Participate in daily team meetings to align on priorities, resolve issues collaboratively, and ensure deadlines are consistently met Partner cross-functionally with teams such as Investor Relations to support audit requests, ERP and system implementations, and broader organizational initiatives Assist in coordinating with tax preparers, external auditors, and other third-party service providers as needed Desired Skills & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting; CPA license or CPA eligibility strongly preferred 1-3 years of experience in public accounting, fund accounting, or a similar environment Highly detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision Vaco provides expert consulting, permanent placement, executive search, managed services, and strategic staffing solutions for companies around the world, in the areas of accounting, finance, technology, healthcare, operations and more.
