Position Description

Reporting to the CEO, the Maintenance & Repair Manager will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day maintenance and repair needs of RFBT store locations while also working hands-on as part of our in-store operations.

The successful candidate will be expected to regularly work in-store as a Barista, including preparing drinks, serving customers, maintaining store cleanliness, and supporting daily store operations, while also being responsible for maintenance and repair-related duties.

The ideal candidate is someone who is technically skilled, hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable balancing both store operations and maintenance responsibilities .

Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair store equipment and facility-related issues.
\n
• Identify equipment or maintenance concerns and determine appropriate solutions.
\n
• Perform hands-on maintenance and minor repairs when appropriate.
\n
• Coordinate with external technicians, contractors, and vendors when specialized repairs or services are required.
\n
• Support maintenance involving commercial equipment, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC, fixtures, and other store systems based on experience and qualifications.
\n
• Respond to urgent maintenance issues that may impact store operations.
\n
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to help reduce equipment failures and operational disruptions.
\n
• Monitor the condition and functionality of store equipment and identify recurring maintenance concerns.
\n
• Maintain records of repairs, maintenance history, equipment issues, and completed services.
\n
• Review repair estimates, service recommendations, and vendor invoices when required.
\n
• Provide clear instructions and guidance to Engineering Officers and other team members when maintenance support is required.
\n
• Work closely with Store Managers, Regional Managers, and other departments to address maintenance concerns.
\n
• Prioritize maintenance requests based on urgency, safety, and impact on store operations.
\n
• Travel between store locations as required to provide operational and maintenance support.
\n
• Ensure maintenance and repair work follows applicable safety requirements and company standards.
\n
• Perform other operational and maintenance-related duties as required.
\n
• Work hands-on in-store as a Barista and actively participate in daily store operations, including drink preparation, customer service, cleaning, restocking, and other operational duties.

• Initiative: Proactively identifies maintenance concerns and takes action before they develop into larger operational issues.

• Adaptability: Comfortable switching between store operations, customer service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and other responsibilities based on business needs.

Qualifications

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
\n
• 5+ years of maintenance, repair, engineering, facilities, or related technical experience preferred.
\n
• Previous experience working with commercial, restaurant, food-service, or retail equipment is an asset.
\n
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Knowledge of commercial equipment and general electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC, or mechanical systems is preferred.
\n
• Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, technical specifications, and diagrams.
\n
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
\n
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to urgent operational issues.
\n
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
\n
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
\n
• Must be comfortable regularly working as a Barista as part of the position.
\n
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
\n
• Ability to travel between store locations as needed.
\n

Salary: From USD $90,000+
