Customer Service Representative

Delivering Exceptional Service and Accurate Billing Support Position Overview The Customer Service Representative is responsible for interacting with new and existing customers over the phone, documenting information in the computer system for customer service billing, and addressing equipment or service requirements. This position plays a vital role in ensuring customers receive timely and accurate information while supporting the operational needs of the business. Fill out forms accurately to capture essential customer information and service requests. Determine charges for services requested, collect necessary deposits, and prepare records for changes of address. Issue stop service orders as needed and ensure all documentation is properly processed. Interact courteously and professionally with customers and Gresham Sanitary employees to identify service requirements and resolve problems or complaints effectively. Work efficiently in a fast-paced, cooperative environment, maintaining a high level of attention to detail while communicating with customers over the phone. Prorate customer accounts as necessary based on changes to account services. Assist other departments and perform additional duties as required to support overall operations. Qualifications & Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, as well as comply with random drug screening policies. A minimum of 2 years of customer service or call center experience is preferred. Demonstrated fast and accurate typing skills, including proficiency with 10-key data entry. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience gathering data, compiling information, and preparing reports. Ability to create payment batches and accurately apply payments to customer accounts. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work. Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments. Adaptability to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment. Strong organizational and time management skills. This position requires working in a high-volume, fast-paced office setting. Frequent communication with customers and team members via telephone is expected. The role demands a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and customer focus at all times. Compensation varies based on experience.
