How You'll Make An Impact In This Role

• Execute precise blood collection and specimen processing using proper techniques to ensure patient comfort and high-quality samples for critical diagnostic testing.
• Manage the end-to-end specimen lifecycleincluding receipt, centrifugation, and transportationsafeguarding sample integrity for accurate lab results.
• Maintain rigorous safety and infection control standards by sterilizing equipment and preparing testing instruments to guarantee a safe environment for both patients and staff.
• Audit and resolve order discrepancies by managing pending lists and duplicate requests to keep laboratory workflows moving efficiently without delays in patient care.
• Streamline administrative workflows through accurate data entry, demographic collection, and phone support to ensure seamless communication between the lab and care teams.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Preferred Credential(s):
  BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  Certification specializing in Phlebotomy credentialed from the American Society for Clinical
  Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC).
  Phlebotomy Tech.
  Medical Laboratory Assistant credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of
  Certification (ASCP-BOC).
  Medical Laboratory Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
  Tech credentialed from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians. All issuing authorities
  accepted.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience,
  if applicable.
