Accounts Receivable & Billing Specialist
We are partnering with a growing organization in the St. Paul area seeking an Accounts Receivable & Billing Specialist to join their accounting team. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on AR experience who enjoys owning the billing and cash application process while working in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounts receivable and billing activities
- Prepare and process customer invoices accurately and timely
- Apply and post customer payments and cash receipts
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies, unapplied cash, and account issues
- Maintain accurate customer account records and aging information
- Assist with account reconciliations and AR-related month-end activities
- Communicate with internal teams and customers regarding billing and payment questions
- Support reporting, process improvements, and other accounting projects as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in accounts receivable, billing, cash applications, or a similar accounting role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to research and resolve discrepancies
- Comfortable working with accounting/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
