Material Handler - 2nd Shift

Position Summary

2nd shift hours: 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm

This position receives a $1.50 shift differential for working 2nd shift!

The role will be responsible for supporting facility safety programs while performing duties related to unloading inbound receipts, stock put-a-ways, loading, and supporting operations through material movements throughout the distribution operation.?

Responsibilities

• Must have stand up forklift experience equivalent to two years of operation.

• Complete all required safety and regulatory training as applies.

• Ability to support front/back/pull to the lines.

• Ability to support secondary packaging/blending operations (will train).

• Staging of Finished Goods for outbound shipment to DHL in designated area.

• Unloadingof inbound shipments.

• Train on High Reach forput away of inbound materials.

• Ensure all required paperwork is complete and accurate.?

• Maintain forklift and other lifting devices as required, including battery changing/charging, water levels and charging areas, related equipment, as it applies.?

• Interface with all levels of personnel in a positive, team building manner.

• Work from established procedures and/or verbal instructions, radio communications.

• Maintain work areas in a neat and orderly condition in accordance with the Visual Management and 5S Standards.?

• Follow all prescribed Health, Safety and Environmental laws, OSHA, rules and regulations.?

• Escalate all issues affecting the key metrics: Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.?

• Collaborate with internal departments to address and resolve issues.

• Other duties as assigned due to business needs.

We we are looking for

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education experience required

• Self-direction with an emphasis on quality and productivity

• Possess decision making and problem-solving skills with little to no direction

• Communication, basic computer skills, and basic math skills.

• 2+ years' experience operating in a warehouse setting.

• 2 + years' experience on Stand-up counterbalance forklifts

• Skilled in SAP/WMS and functionality of Windows Tablet (i.e. material look up)

Work Environment

• Weight: Lifting up to 60 LBS., with the ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.

• Job requires: Analytical skills, self-direction, problem solving, attention to detail and communication and the ability to be self-driven to continually learn.

• Physical capabilities: Stretching, lifting, climbing, twisting, turning, standing, pulling, pushing, reaching and bending.

Total Rewards Package

The pay rate for this position is up to USD $21.50/Yr. per hour
