Software Engineer for MCP AI Training [Remote]

Design reinforcement learning environments that evaluate AI agents as they solve complex software engineering problems with Model Context Protocol tools. You will create reproducible environments, deterministic verification, and golden reference solutions that measure both MCP tool use and engineering capability. No prior AI experience is required.

• Create environments involving bug fixes, feature implementation, codebase refactoring, and performance optimization.
• Develop tasks that require agents to discover, interpret, and reason over information from real MCP servers.
• Build deterministic verification and reference solutions that accurately assess task outcomes.
• Provide high-quality real-world input that helps improve how AI systems learn, reason, and perform.

• Proficiency in C++, Python, Java, Go, TypeScript, or Rust.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and performance tuning.
• Demonstrated experience debugging complex software issues and delivering maintainable solutions.
• Experience with feature development, codebase refactoring, and software optimization for performance and scalability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and success working in collaborative cross-functional teams, ideally remotely.
• Preferred: experience with large-scale distributed codebases, rigorous code reviews, software best practices, or modern AI and machine learning systems.

• Remote independent contractor engagement.
• Approximately 15 hours per week.
• Flexible schedule: choose your working hours and days, including weekends if preferred.
• Work is paid per task that meets project specifications; completion time may vary by experience and workflow.
• Minimum weekly task-submission requirements apply.
• Selected candidates should be ready to begin their first tasks within 24 to 48 hours after completing onboarding.

$60 to $120 per hour.
