MCP Software Engineer for AI Training

Role Overview
Help train next-generation AI systems by creating reinforcement learning environments that assess an AI model''s ability to solve complex software engineering problems with Model Context Protocol tools. Your work will use real-world MCP servers and high-quality technical input to improve how models learn, reason, and perform. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Create reproducible software engineering environments involving bug fixes, feature implementation, codebase refactoring, and performance optimization.
- Design deterministic verification methods and golden reference solutions that measure MCP tool use and software engineering ability.
- Develop tasks that require agents to discover, interpret, and reason over information from real MCP servers.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in C++, Python, Java, Go, TypeScript, or Rust.
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and performance tuning.
- Demonstrated experience debugging complex software issues and delivering maintainable solutions.
- Experience with feature development, codebase refactoring, performance optimization, and scalable software systems.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and a record of collaborating effectively across functions, ideally in remote teams.
- Preferred: experience with large-scale distributed codebases, rigorous code review, software best practices, or modern AI and machine learning systems.
Work Terms
- Remote independent-contractor engagement.
- Approximately 15 hours per week, with flexibility to choose your working days and hours, including weekends.
- A minimum weekly task-submission requirement applies.
- Selected candidates should be prepared to begin their first tasks within 24 to 48 hours after completing the required setup process.
Compensation
- Compensation range: $60 to $120 per hour.
- Payment is output-based and paid per task that meets project specifications. Completion time varies by experience and workflow.
