Accounts Payable Specialist

Randstad is proud to partner with an industry-leading utility and solar company headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, FL, to find them an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team.

Candidates must have construction industry experience including handling lien waivers, be comfortable working fully onsite Monday - Friday and be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This is a direct hire permanent role paying a base salary ($65k-$70k) + bonus and offering a full benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Invoice Processing & Automation: Review, verify, and code vendor invoices accurately using the automated billing system, ensuring proper job costing, dates, and amounts.
• Disbursements: Assist in executing scheduled weekly AP payment runs utilizing the ERP accounting software.
• Lien Waiver Compliance: Match vendor and subcontractor invoices with corresponding waivers and release of liens prior to payment release to safeguard project compliance.
• Credit Card Reconciliations: Review, code, and reconcile monthly corporate card transactions
• Vendor Relations & Audits: Perform monthly vendor statement reconciliations, resolve billing discrepancies promptly, and maintain strong, cooperative supplier relationships.
• Records Maintenance: Scan, index, and organize weekly payment remittances and electronic accounting files for audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Construction experience:  Minimum of 3 years of construction accounting experience, including at least 2 years dedicated to full-cycle Accounts Payable.
