Job Description: Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) | Comfort, Compassion & Meaningful Care Wellspring Lutheran Services – Frankenmuth Hospice | Serving Bay City, Saginaw, Frankenmuth, Caro and surrounding areas | Full-Time, travel | Hourly $17.00 - $19.00

At Wellspring Lutheran Services, we're looking for a Hospice CNA who believes that caring for someone at the end of life is both a privilege and a calling. As a Hospice CNA, you'll work closely with nurses, patients, families, and the interdisciplinary hospice team to provide personal care and support that focuses on comfort, safety, and quality of life. You'll build meaningful relationships with patients and caregivers while helping families navigate an important chapter in life. Most importantly, you'll help ensure that patients experience comfort, dignity, and compassionate care when it matters most.

What Your Impact Will Look Like

• You’ll provide hands‑on personal care that helps patients remain comfortable, clean, safe, and supported in the place they call home.
• You’ll assist with activities of daily living, helping patients maintain dignity and independence whenever possible.
• You’ll offer support and encouragement to family members and caregivers while serving as a compassionate presence during difficult moments.
• You’ll observe changes in patient condition and communicate important information to the nursing team, helping ensure patients receive the care they need.
• You’ll help create a comfortable environment by assisting with light housekeeping, linens, meals, and other services that contribute to quality of life.
• You’ll become a trusted part of the care team, helping patients and families feel supported, respected, and cared for throughout their hospice journey.
• Some days you’ll be helping a patient prepare for the day.
• Other days you’ll be sitting with a family member who needs support, assisting with comfort measures, or sharing a simple conversation that brings reassurance during a difficult time.

What You’ll Bring

• Current Michigan Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing - required.
• Completion of a state‑approved nurse aide training and competency evaluation program.
• Minimum of one year of CNA experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required in‑service education and certifications.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to meet driving requirements.
• Strong communication, observation, and interpersonal skills.

Schedule

Full‑time, Monday – Friday 32 – 40 hours per week Day Shift, 8:00am – 4:30pm No weekends or on‑call Daily travel between patient homes and care settings throughout Frankenmuth, Saginaw, Bay City, and surrounding areas - mileage reimbursement provided.
