Senior Medical Assistant - Neurology

Job Overview Senior Medical Assistants (MA-C) with more than two years of experience, including at least six months in a PSJH clinic within the last three years, support clinicians in the Neurology Clinics. They perform all standard medical assistant duties, lead clinic operations, and mentor Associate Medical Assistants. After one year of service and obtaining the MA‑C designation, they become eligible for a Lead MA promotion. The MA III works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to assist with patient care. They execute all duties of MA I and MA II, proactively take initiative, and serve as informal leaders, ambassadors, quality champions, and mentors. They provide support, guidance, and training as needed. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with hands‑on clinical training, or graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or completion of two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces. Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire. National Provider BLS – American Heart Association certification within 30 days of hire. Two years of medical assisting experience in a clinic setting. Two years of customer service experience in a fast‑paced environment, handling confidential data with discretion. Six months of working experience in a PSJH clinic within the last three years. Preferred Qualifications National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
