Specimen Processor

Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor to prepare clinical specimens for laboratory analysis in a high-throughput environment. The role involves unpacking, labeling, routing, and shipping samples while performing accurate data entry and maintaining production standards. This is a Monday-Friday evening shift position (3:30 pm–12:00 am) in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Unpack and route laboratory specimens to designated staging areas
• Identify, label, pack, and ship specimens to appropriate testing facilities
• Perform accurate data entry of patient information in laboratory systems
• Resolve, document, and properly store problem or excess specimen samples
• Meet department activity and production goals in fast-paced environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Comfortable handling biological specimens and passing color blindness screening
• Ability to accurately identify and label specimens
• Strong data entry, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
• Capability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Experience in lab, accessioning, production, or warehouse environments (preferred)
