Occupational Therapy Assistant

Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist carries out all therapeutic modalities or treatment programs planned by the Therapist. Identifies and communicates treatment responses and/or difficulties to the Therapist. Progresses and alters the treatment programs as education directs.

Minimum Education Required: Associate Degree in Occupational Therapist Assistant

Minimum Experience Required: Entry Level

Licenses / Certifications Required: Valid drivers license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Wisconsin and/or Illinois based on job assignment location. Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire. Valid licensure to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Wisconsin.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities Required: Ability to read, write, hear, speak, and comprehend the English language.

Principal Responsibilities and Essential Duties: Follows treatment plan as outlined by licensed Occupational Therapist. Transfers patients as needed for therapy. Performs patient/family teaching. Communicates with Physical Therapist in patient treatment planning. Provides documentation of patient treatment. Administers medications in a timely manner safely and in accordance with policy and procedure.

Salary Range: $21.50 to $32.50/hr (based on experience) Evening and night shift differential available
