Physical Therapist Assistant

Physical Therapist Assistant Job Duties:

• Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist carries out all therapeutic modalities or treatment programs planned by the Therapist.
• Identifies and communicates treatment programs planned by the Therapist.
• Identifies and communicates treatment responses and/or difficulties to the Therapist.
• Progresses and alters the treatment programs as education directs.
• Follows treatment plan as outlined by licensed Physical Therapist.
• Transfers patients as needed for therapy.
• Performs patient/family teaching.
• Communicates with Physical Therapist in patient treatment planning.
• Provides documentation of patient treatment.
• Administers medications in a timely manner safely and in accordance with policy and procedure.

Physical Therapist Assistant Minimum Requirements:

• Associate Degree in: Physical Therapy Assistant
• Valid drivers license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Wisconsin and/or Illinois based on job assignment location.
• Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Valid licensure to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Wisconsin.
• Ability to read, write, hear, speak, and comprehend the English language.

Salary Range: 21.50 to 32.50/hr (based on experience)
