Assistant Camp Counselor (Seasonal)

The Assistant Camp Counselor reports to the Summer Program Coordinator and will primarily work with the summer day camp program. This includes teaching camp groups each week, assisting with the development of curriculum, and assisting with the supervision of volunteers. During non-camp weeks, the Counselor will assist with other educational programming, assist with general facility and grounds upkeep, and assist with ongoing projects.
Requirements
- High school rising senior or older, preferably looking towards a career in education, environmental education, or related field
- Knowledge of natural history and environmental topics
- Knowledge of, desire to work with, and experience working with children, including preschool through middle school
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Current CPR & First Aid Certification
- Ability to pass a criminal background and sex offender check
