Front Office Patient Service Representative

What Clinical Services contributes to Cardinal Health Clinical Care Delivery provides high quality, patient-centered care focused on diagnosing, treating and managing care while ensuring the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of the practice. Job Purpose: The Patient Service Representative is the first point of contact for patients, and family members in the Comprehensive and Imaging centers. Responsibilities · Greet patients and families. · Answer center telephones, distribute faxes, and prepare customer files. · Schedule patient appointments. · Receive and correctly record receipts of patient payments. · Enter, verify and update patient demographic and insurance information. · Obtain insurance verifications (VOB), pre-authorizations and pre-determinations. · Process requests for records from outside sources. · Scan data into document imaging software. · Regular attendance and punctuality. · Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. · Ensures that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved. · Perform any other functions as required by management. Qualifications · Medical Office experience, highly preferred · High School Diploma or equivalent, highly preferred · Experience accessing and updating an EMR system · Bilingual in Spanish, highly preferred Location cCARE Cancer Center: San Marcos 838 Nordahl Road, Suite 300 San Marcos, CA 92069 Anticipated hourly range: $23.00 per hour - $25.20 per hour Bonus eligible: No Benefits: Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.
