This role is for individuals who want to build a career working hands-on with advanced equipment, not behind a desk. As an Equipment Specialist, you'll maintain and support semiconductor manufacturing tools that operate at a precision level. Your work directly impacts the performance, reliability, and output of critical technologies. This is not an engineering design or research role. It is hands-on, skill-based position focused on equipment maintenance, precision execution, and technical craftsmanship.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Follows appropriate processes and protocols in the cleanroom environment
• Performs routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Maintains appropriate records and tracking of tool status, maintenance and issues.
• Coordinates with environmental, health and safety to ensure safe operation of toolset.
• Coordinates with process engineers to troubleshoot tool and process issues.
• Coordinates, schedule and escort vendors on-site as necessary.
• Coordinates with in-house facilities and security as necessary.
• Assists in the installation of new equipment and decommission of outgoing equipment.
• Responds to emergency situations as they may occur.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Skills/Abilities

• Possess trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in software and control systems for equipment toolsets.
• Self-motivated, inquisitive, and must thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Education

Associate's degree in engineering, chemistry, materials science, physics or other relevant field required, Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience

0-3 years experience in MEMS, semiconductor, photonics or advanced fabrication equipment systems including vacuum systems, high-voltage systems, chemical handling and high-temperature systems is required.

Backgrounds That Typically Succeed in This Role

• Technical or vocational training (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, automotive, etc.)
• Military technical experience
• Manufacturing, fabrication, or lab technician roles
• Hands-on experience with tools, repair work, or mechanical systems

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $28.00 - $47.60. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Union ranges will be in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement's approved rates by location and role.
