Senior Java Developer – Hybrid - Jacksonville, FLARC Group has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Java Developer with a leading organization. This is a hybrid position in Jacksonville, FL working 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. No C2C, third-party vendors, or candidate brokering arrangements will be considered.Position OverviewThe Senior Java Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise applications and technology solutions. This role will participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including technical design, coding, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing application support.The ideal candidate will have strong Java development experience, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise Java applicationsCreate technical solutions aligned with business requirements and organizational objectivesDevelop and maintain backend services, APIs, and application integrationsParticipate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and architecture initiativesPerform unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and application enhancementsFollow secure coding practices and ensure application reliability, performance, and data integrityDocument technical designs, system specifications, and development processesParticipate in release management and change control processesCollaborate with developers, analysts, project teams, and business stakeholdersProvide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to other developersRequired Qualifications5+ years of professional software development experienceStrong experience with Java/J2EE developmentExperience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applicationsStrong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and design patternsExperience developing and consuming RESTful and SOAP web servicesExperience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQLExperience with SQL development and data manipulationExperience using Git or other modern version control systemsExperience with unit testing, debugging, and software development best practicesStrong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of assigned responsibilitiesPreferred QualificationsExperience with modern Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, or HibernateExperience with front-end technologies including JavaScript, React.js, or Node.jsExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google CloudExperience with messaging and distributed systems technologies such as KafkaExperience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or CassandraExperience working in Agile/Scrum development environmentsEducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
