Java Full Stack Developer

OverviewJob PurposeWe are seeking a Software Developer to join our innovative development team. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of our applications while taking ownership of specific components and features.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain web applications using Java and Spring Boot for backend services and React for frontend developmentImplement new features and enhancements to existing functionality with moderate guidanceWrite clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and team standardsCreate and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate them with React-based frontendsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutionsTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in both backend and frontend systemsParticipate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedbackWrite and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality and functionalityContribute to database design and development using SQL and PostgreSQLStay current with relevant technologies and frameworksProvide occasional guidance to junior developersKnowledge and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)3+ years of professional software development experienceJava Programming: Deep knowledge of Java language, its ecosystem, and best practicesExperience with SQL, PostgreSQL and relational database conceptsFrontend Technologies: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and TypeScriptBackend Development: Expertise in developing and maintaining backend services using Java, Spring, and related technologiesStrong understanding of RESTful services, microservices architecture, and database managementFamiliarity with version control systems like Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelinesAI & ML Fundamentals: Understanding of natural language processing (NLP), machine learning concepts, and how LLMs workPrompt Frameworks & Techniques: Proficiency in methods such as zero-shot, few-shot, chain-of-thought, and knowledge-generation promptingLLM API Experience: Hands-on work with major AI platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini) to test and refine promptsPrompt Optimization: Ability to craft precise, structured instructions that reduce hallucinations and improve accuracyData Preparation: Preparing and curating datasets for training or fine-tuning modelsPerformance Analysis: Measuring and improving AI output quality through A/B testing and iterative refinementPreferred Experience Knowledge of cloud platforms (OCP, Apigee, AWS, GCP, or Azure)Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)Knowledge of containerization concepts (Docker)Familiarity with microservices architectureExperience with automated testing frameworksUnderstanding of responsive design and accessibility standardsKnowledge of performance optimization techniques #LI-MA1 Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
