Procurement Manager

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Procurement Manager in Herndon, VA. Summary: This client is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing, vendor management, and procurement operations across the organization. This individual will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the organization obtains high-quality products and services while optimizing cost, mitigating risk, and supporting business objectives. The ideal candidate is a collaborative business partner with experience managing procurement initiatives in a technology driven environment and has a strong understanding of contract negotiations, vendor management, and process improvement. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives across technology, professional services, software, hardware, and corporate spend categories
• Lead negotiations for vendor agreements, renewals, pricing structures, and service level agreements
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders
• Evaluate supplier performance through established KPIs and service metrics
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and spend optimization
• Partner with Finance, Legal, IT, and operational leaders to support procurement needs
• Manage the procurement lifecycle from requisition through contract execution
• Conduct market and supplier analysis to identify qualified vendors and emerging solutions
• Support contract administration and ensure compliance with company policies
• Develop procurement policies, procedures, and best practices
• Monitor purchasing trends and provide reporting on spend, savings, and supplier performance
• Manage procurement risks and supplier continuity planning
• Lead and mentor procurement team members as applicable
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, or related field
• 7+ years of progressive procurement and strategic sourcing experience
• Deltek Costpoint experience
• Demonstrated experience negotiating complex contracts and supplier agreements
• Experience managing multiple sourcing initiatives simultaneously
• Strong knowledge of procurement best practices and vendor management
• Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and procurement reporting tools
