Lecturer AY - Computer Information Systems

Position Part-Time Lecturer, Department of Computer Information Systems, College of Business Administration, Pomona, California. Temporary/lecture position; open based on enrollment and funding. May need to begin teaching on short notice. Subject Areas Data Warehousing Operating Systems Information Security Telecommunication Networks Python Programming Client-side or Server-side Web Development Responsibilities Teach assigned division courses in the department’s curriculum and serve weekly office hours based on assigned teaching unit load. Assignments may include day, evening, and/or weekend courses. Required Qualifications Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related discipline relevant to the curriculum. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related discipline. Prior teaching experience at the college or university level and ability to furnish evidence of strong teaching. Relevant industry work experience. Salary and Benefits Initial appointment: one semester only. Salary is prorated to the number of units worked and paid in six monthly payments per semester. Most new appointees are hired at Lecturer A or B rank. Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications, not to exceed $6,221 per month (as of July 2024).
