Surgical Technician

Senior Surgical Tech – Providence Portland Medical Center This is a full-time Day shift position (0640-1715, four 10-hour shifts weekdays) with rotating weekends, holidays, and call/standby. The Surgical Technician role is a non-licensed health care employee who performs the surgical scrub role and works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Duties include reviewing preference lists and picking supplies and instruments, performing surgical scrub, preparing inventory, supporting intra‑operatively by anticipating the surgeon's needs, passing instrumentation, completing the cycle by moving instruments to the decontamination area, and putting away leftover supplies. National Certified Surgical Technologist – National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (upon hire). National Provider BLS – American Heart Association (upon hire). 3 years experience as a Surgical Technician in an Operating Room.
