Power & Analog Design Engineer IThe Multi-Product Power & Digital (MPD) department designs FPGAs, circuit cards, and electronics subassemblies for a range of products including missiles/effectors, radars, and electronic warfare systems. The team leverages digital, analog, and power design skills to provide support throughout the product lifecycle from architecture and design through production and sustainment. The MPD department is seeking a Power & Analog Design Engineer I to join our team. This position is an onsite role, located in McKinney, TX.What you will do as a Power & Analog Design Engineer I:Assist with architecture development at the circuit card level.Design, analyze, test, and document analog and power conversion circuitry.Partner with senior engineers and ECAD drafters through stack up definition, layout, and routing activities.Support integration and verification activities in engineering laboratories.Provide product test and troubleshooting support.Understand and report execution status to the planned budget and schedule.Engage in professional growth and development.Qualifications you must have:Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior relevant experienceDesign, analysis, simulation, and/or test experience with one or more of the following non-isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck-boost.Design, analysis, simulation, and/or test experience with analog electronics design, including at least one of the following: FETs/BJTs, op-amp, high/low/band pass filters, clock/data termination, and comparator circuits.Experience using tools such as MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or other similar tools.Qualifications we value:One or more advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering or a related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major. A suitable degree may be counted as 2 years of work experience.Design considerations for voltages > 400V and/or power > 10kW.Three-phase power systems, power factor control, and inverter/rectifier development.Military specifications.Circuit simulator SIMPLIS and/or system simulator SABER.Siemens Xpedition: xDX Designer, xPCB Layout, and/or Hyperlynx.Experience guiding Electronic Computer-Aided Design (ECAD) personnel through PWB layout of power circuitry and technical drawing creation.Experience communicating and documenting technical topics.Experience with lab equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, multimeters, signal sources, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.Demonstrated ability to lead design efforts and/or small teams.
