Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity serving as a key support for a young student's behavioral and mental health journey in a school environment. This onsite role is dedicated to working with one student aged 8 or 9 as part of a comprehensive, collaborative team approach. You'll play a vital part in fostering positive change for a student who benefits from expert guidance, while collaborating with educational, behavioral, and clinical specialists.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required
- Previous experience supporting school-aged children with behavioral and/or mental health needs strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans
- Skilled in data collection, analysis, and progress reporting
- Comfortable working collaboratively within multidiscipline teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavioral assessments and create targeted intervention strategies
- Provide direct support, modeling, and guidance for behavioral interventions throughout the school day (7:30am–2:45pm)
- Monitor student progress, adjusting plans as needed for optimal outcomes
- Document observations and share ongoing insights with team members and student support staff
- Participate in team meetings to ensure integrated care and consistent support for the student
- Educate and coach staff and caregivers to reinforce effective strategies across settings
