Job Description

The Powersports Technician plays an essential role in maintaining and repairing powersports vehicles within an in-shop service environment. This independent role focuses on balancing repair and maintenance tasks to ensure vehicle safety and performance. The technician performs diagnostic testing, engine repair, and parts replacement while interacting with customers and adhering to safety compliance standards. Minimal travel locally may required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform engine repair and maintenance services
• Conduct diagnostic testing and troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Replace parts and conduct safety inspections
• Test equipment to ensure proper function and safety
• Engage with customers to provide service updates and recommendations

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver's license
• Must possess own tools
• Strong work ethic with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Entry-level experience in powersports repair
• Knowledge of small engine repair and diagnostic testing
• Proficient in mechanical troubleshooting and equipment maintenance with diagnostic tools and/or software
• Customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Two (2) years of manufacturer certified training, factory trained or school trained. On the job training equivalence will be considered.
• Technical certificate or diploma in powersports or small engine repair
• Experience with technical documentation and safety compliance
