Job Title: OR Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year in Operating Room License: State or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Strong experience in orthopedics Description: The OR Registered Nurse will be responsible for circulating in various surgical procedures including orthopedics, spine, robotics, and general surgery. A minimum of 1 year of experience in an operating room setting is required. Experience with the Epic charting system is required. Candidates should have strong orthopedic experience. Travel experience is preferred. The role involves direct patient care and assisting in surgical procedures while maintaining compliance with safety protocols. Candidates will be expected to manage multiple patients, ensuring their safety and comfort during surgical procedures. The daily census in the unit typically ranges from 15-18 patients. The OR consists of 6 surgical rooms. This role demands the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and to coordinate efficiently with the surgical team. Knowledge of infection control, wound management, and administration of blood products is essential. Candidates should be able to handle various surgical equipment and technology used in the operating room. The successful candidate will also participate in maintaining a safe and sterile environment while supporting the diverse needs of patients across different age groups.
