IT Support Specialist

Overview JST is currently seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team for a full-time position at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM. As an IT Support Specialist in the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC), you will empower the Department of Defense's navigation warfare (NAVWAR) mission, ensuring positioning, navigation and timing superiority. You will provide subject matter expertise on planning and conducting NAVWAR, support command teams with NAVWAR order of battle information, and aid integration of C4, cyber, and cyberspace operations into the JNWC's strategic and operational objectives. IT Support Specialist Responsibilities Provide technical support for end-user devices hardware (laptops, printers, tablets, mobile devices) and peripherals, software (COTS, GOTS, Web), network infrastructure (routers, switches, etc.), Voice over Internet Protocol, audiovisual display systems, duress alarms, analog and wireless technologies. Schedule and coordinate customer desk-side support for installation of new software or performance of hardware or software break/fix activities. Set up and configure new end-user equipment including laptops, mobile devices, printers, copiers, VTC units, VoIP phones and other peripherals. Investigate and resolve all connectivity issues related to end-user, site infrastructure and IT equipment. Actively participate in construction project planning, providing detailed requirements for facility IT specifications. Coordinate on-site break/fix installations with hardware maintenance providers and provide after-hours support when required. Execute and maintain IT infrastructure inventory information, completing scheduled inventories of all IT cabinets and equipment, updating pictures, drawings and asset information. Recommend customer service and IT process support enhancements by researching and recommending new technologies and processes. IT Support Specialist Qualifications 5 years of relevant experience. BA/BS technical degree in computer science, information technology or a related field. IT Support Specialist Desired Qualifications Information Assurance Level Technician experience in a large government consulting environment. IAT Level II Certifications: CompTIA CySA+, CompTIA Security+, EC-Council CND. Required Clearances And Screenings Active TS/SCI security clearance. Ability to pass a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
