The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced, skilled Floating Chef to our Healthcare Foodservice team in Pittsburgh, PA 15237. As a food service support, you will have the opportunity to help coordinate and prepare food for meal service in a variety of assigned locations.

This position will be based out of one of our units in Pittsburgh, PA, but will require yu to have reliable transportation, as the specific unit will change. Open availability is also required as your scheduled unit may change due to call off's, FMLA, etc.

What you'll be doing:

• Assisting with planning, directing, organizing, and coordinating the activities of the food service department to provide outstanding dining options to each assigned unit. 
• Helping to enforce company policies and procedures to provide administrative direction for menu formation; food preparation, distribution, and service; budgeting and purchasing; sanitation standards; safety practices; and staffing and staff development. 
• Ensuring proper temperature, portioning, and quality of meals. 
• Directly preparing meals as needed. 
• Other tasks as assigned. 

What we're looking for:

Must-haves: 

• At least two years’ experience in food service. 
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the year. 
• Strong leadership and communication skills. 

Nice-to-haves: 

• At least one years’ experience in a supervisory role. 
• Associate’s degree or higher.

Where you'll be working:

• This position will be based out of one of our units in Pittsburgh, PA but job assignments can change between assigned units.

Compensation Range

• Pay rate starts at $25.00 per hour.
