Quality Technician

Quality Assurance Technician - Food Manufacturing

Join a growing food manufacturing team dedicated to producing high-quality, safe products that consumers trust every day! We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to support quality and food safety initiatives within a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform quality audits throughout the facility to ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, and quality standards.
• Conduct routine quality control testing and inspections on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Assist with microbiology sample preparation, testing, and product release activities.
• Support work order management and quality documentation processes.
• Collect samples and perform routine quality checks, monitoring, and recordkeeping.
• Prepare media, reagents, and samples for laboratory testing.
• Investigate quality issues and help implement corrective actions when needed.
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with GMP/GLP requirements.
• Partner with production and operations teams to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Food Science, Food Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in a food manufacturing, food production, or quality environment.
• Recent graduates with relevant internships, lab experience, or food manufacturing exposure are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of GMP, GLP, food safety, and quality systems.
• Experience with QC testing, sample preparation, media preparation, and food analysis is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ayer, MA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
