Instructional Aide

Responsibilities Assist a certified teacher in reinforcing instruction to individuals or small groups of students in a classroom setting. Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and implementation of lesson plans. Provide routine clerical support and perform related work as needed. Supervise hallway, recess, lunch room, buses, and car line. Cover duties for absent aides and teachers as needed. Prepare instructional materials as requested. Assist with preparation for school events. Assist students with classroom work as a group or individual. Organize and chaperone field trips and special events. Report any injuries to students and complete accident forms. Maintain confidentiality. Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor, teacher, or principal. Reports to: Assigned Teacher/Building Principal Work Period 180 days/year Qualifications Organization, ability to work with others. Physical/Mental: regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, and use a hand‑held device. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
