Material Manager

Job Description Posted Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 7:00 AM Material Manager Purpose: As a Material Manager, you will manage the logistics around receiving, processing, and storing inventory according to purchase orders and warehouse policy. You will also ensure shipping schedules are met with attention to detail to deliver on time. Responsibilities Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment. Accurately receive material. Accurately stock and organize material within the warehouse. Pull material for jobs accurately. Load and unload trucks and trailers. Assist the field team in locating material needed. Conduct accurate mid‑year and year‑end warehouse inventories. Clean and maintain facilities. Keep the outside yard clean and organized. Ensure facilities are safe and work is conducted safely. Complete other duties as needed. Qualifications 2+ years working in a warehouse or distribution facility. Ability to learn quickly with a desire to continue learning. Strong work ethic and team mentality. Ability to problem‑solve and work independently. High school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer skills required. Great interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills to work with Kimbel employees and customers. Customer service mindset and servant attitude. Forklift certification is a plus. General knowledge of plumbing and HVAC material is helpful. CDL not required. Valid driver licence with no restrictions. Clean driving record. Candidates will complete an MVR release form. Ability to pass a drug screen and DOT physical. Core Physical Requirements Lift, push, pull, and carry heavy objects, typically up to 50–75 lbs independently. Perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing ladders, crawling into tight spaces, kneeling or crouching for extended periods. Strong hand‑eye coordination and the ability to handle small tools and components with precision.
